Installation
Simply extract the archive into your preferred location. Make sure to preserve the
folder names and file permissions from the archive.
There is no installation process. Unless you use absolute path names
you can move your installation to any location on your machine. It
should even run off a USB stick (not recommended).
Platforms
We have tested the TRACERS GSEOS software on Windows 10, Ubuntu 18.04 LTS, and Ubuntu 18.04 LTS
It will not work on older, unsupported version of Ubuntu (<= 18.x).
GSEOS is a 64-bit application, so the OS must be 64-bit.
Linux Fonts
To make the transition between Windows and Linux smoother please
make sure to install the MS TT Core Fonts on your Linux system and use
those fonts instead of others that might not be available on Windows.
That will ensure that the default screens render properly.
Virtual Machines
We have been running Linux in a VM and Windows and Mac OSX hosts.
